Our Team
Alex Boersen, MSW, RSW
I’m a Registered Social Worker with a Master of Social Work from Wilfrid Laurier University. Since 2019, I’ve worked in Social Services across schools, hospitals, group homes, community mental health, emergency rooms, crisis response teams, psychedelic assisted therapy and private practice. I’ve supported a variety of populations and worked directly with both the OPP and Hospitals across Huron and Perth County. These experiences have shaped my deep understanding of high-stress environments and the emotional toll they take.
I specialize in supporting individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, addiction, and burnout — with a focus (but not limited) on healthcare and social service workers, first responders, men’s mental health, youth, and residents of rural communities. My approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in evidence-based therapies including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Attachment-Focused Therapy, Mindfulness, Motivational Interviewing and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).
Originally from rural Perth County, I was drawn to this work through my own personal experience with adverse mental health. I strive to create a down to earth and honest space where clients feel empowered to grow and reconnect with what matters most in their lives.
Outside of work, I spend my time with my wife, daughter, and our two dogs. I stay active through Martial Arts such as Boxing, Muay Thai, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, weightlifting, running, and spending time outdoors — especially backcountry camping and fishing.
Clara Boersen, Clinical Manager
I’m a community engagement and communications professional who’s passionate about helping people connect with the information, programs, and resources they need. I have experience leading outreach projects, building partnerships, and turning complex ideas into messages that make sense for everyone.
My background includes work in economic development, healthcare, and community services, where I’ve helped design inclusive programs that improve access and strengthen local impact. I enjoy bringing people together—whether that’s through events, campaigns, or collaborations that support shared goals.
Over the years, I’ve managed marketing and outreach teams, supported workforce and community development initiatives, and built trusted relationships between organizations and the communities they serve. My approach is rooted in empathy, clear communication, and a belief that when people understand and feel included, real change can happen.
I bring a mix of strategy, creativity, and practical experience to every role—especially those focused on community impact, accessibility, and meaningful connection.
